Dear Mustang Families,
As we begin our testing and exam period, I want to make sure everyone understands both the expectations of testing this coming week and how our schedule will work.
Students and parents, please again review the attached schedule and the summary of the schedule below.
First, this week we begin with 1st period exams on Thursday and 2nd period exams on Friday. However, you will report to 2nd period during the first block of school on Thursday because testing will not start when you arrive.
Next week, exams will continue in order: 3rd period on Monday, 4th period on Tuesday, 5th period on Wednesday, and 6th period on Thursday.
Friday, May 22nd will be reserved for make-up exams.
Exam Schedule
- Thursday, May 14th: Period 1 Exam
- Friday, May 15th: Period 2 Exam
- Monday, May 18th: Period 3 Exam
- Tuesday, May 19th: Period 4 Exam
- Wednesday, May 20th: Period 5 Exam
- Thursday, May 21st: Period 6 Exam
- Friday, May 22nd: Make Up Exams
It is very important that you understand this: your exam does NOT start at the beginning of the school day. Each day, your exam will take place during the second block of time beginning at 9:05AM, so you must arrive on time, stay focused throughout the morning, and be prepared when testing begins.
After testing is over for the day, students are expected to be in school and go to the remainder of their classes. Teachers will be reviewing for future exams and will be providing content through the remainder of the school year.
Of note, if a student has already taken his or her state assessment in a small group, please make sure that you report to the cafeteria during the exam period for the day.
Mustangs, every one of these exams matters. Whether it is an EOC, FAST, District Final, or teacher exam, every one of these exams matters. This is your opportunity to show what you’ve learned and demonstrate your growth. We expect you to take each exam seriously and give your very best effort.
Attendance during exams is critical. We need 100% participation, which means you must be here on your scheduled testing days.
We believe in you and know you are ready to do your best. Stay focused, be prepared, and rise to the Mustang standard of excellence.
Have a great day and best wishes on your exams!
Go Mustangs!
Thank you,
Ms. Schultz
