As we enter testing and finals, here is the most important thing to know:
Every day from May 14th to May 21st there is State and District testing.
We are testing during 2nd Block of the Day based on the attached schedule: JWMHS 2526 S2 EOY Testing Schedule
Important Information
- ALL testing (EOCs, FSAs, District Finals, and Teacher Finals) happens during 2nd block each day.
- This is a long testing block in the morning (about 9:05–11:15).
- All students will either have a test or activity during this testing block.
- If your student has a test that day, they will take it during this time.
- Students must test for that class during the scheduled exam period. To make sure that all students can test, we do not have the ability to make changes as we simply do not have room.
Which Day Each Class Period Tests
Which ever exam/test you have during this period is what you will take on this day. For example, if Timmy has Biology during Period 3, then Timmy will take the Biology EOC on Monday, May 18th.
- May 14 (Thursday): Period 1
- May 15 (Friday): Period 2
- May 18 (Monday): Period 3
- May 19 (Tuesday): Period 4
- May 20 (Wednesday): Period 5
- May 21 (Thursday): Period 6
What Students Do the Rest of the Day
- Teachers will be providing review and other activities after testing each day.
- Students are expected to attend the remainder of their day and follow the bell schedule attached.
Students with Accommodations
- Students with IEPs, 504 plans, or ELL plans will receive all approved testing accommodations (extended time, small group, etc.).
- If your child has accommodations, he or she will be sending testing notifications from Dr. Herny on or about Friday, April 24th.
- The testing times may differ from the attached schedule.
- Staff will make sure students know exactly where to go and what to expect during all aspects of the testing schedule.
Students who Take a State Tested Course Online
- If your student takes Algebra 1, Geometry, US History, Government, English 1, or English 2 ONLINE they will be scheduled separately.
- If your child has an online class in one of those courses, he or she will be sending testing notifications from Dr. Herny on or about Friday, April 24th.
How Families Can Help
- Make sure your student arrives on time every day (testing starts promptly).
- Encourage a good night’s sleep and breakfast.
- Help them check which day each class tests so there are no surprises.
- Do not schedule appointments and early check-outs during testing days.
Final Reminders
- Students are expected to stay for the full school day.
- Makeups are scheduled at the end of the testing window (beginning May 22nd) for excused absences only.
- All testing materials will be provided by the school.
- As a reminder, the tests administered include, but are not limited to
- English PM 3 FAST for 9th and *10th
- Algebra 1 EOC*
- Geometry EOC**
- Biology EOC**
- US History EOC**
- FCLE for students in Government
- All District Finals
- All Teacher Finals
