Can I participate in Orchestra if I am also in band, sports, R.O.T.C., etc.?

YES!  Many students have successfully navigated every extracurricular activity under the sun while playing with the J. W. Mitchell Orchestra.

Do I have to know how to play a stringed instrument to play in the Orchestra?

NO!  Our String Orchestra class has options for beginning students to pick up and learn a string instrument.  For our advanced students, our Chamber Orchestra plays more challenging and advanced music.

Are there after school rehearsal?

YES!  However, there are only small number of them throughout the school year.
