In order to attend the dance, each student must complete the following and meet the Dance Meeting Expectations.
Dance Expectations Parent Meeting – This meeting is an expectation that must be completed and/or attended by a student’s parent/guardian.
If you still need to request this course, please complete the following link: https://tinyurl.com/JWMHSDanceMtg
The Parent Dance Meeting Expectations Online Course if it has been requested. This course is found in myLearning. It should take about 30 minutes to complete the class online. Have your student look for the invitation that will be at the top of the myLearning Announcement Page. Once you have completed it, I will be assigning a Mustang Dance Number. Mustang Dance Numbers will be passed out so that students can complete Homecoming Dance Forms. If you have forgotten your dance number, we will be sending out all Mustang Dance Numbers in RANCH during September. This must be completed by Wednesday, October 5th at 3PM in order to guarantee a Dance Number can be generated.
Dress Code – Students need to make sure that they are in dress code for this event. If there is a concern about an outfit or dress, please email Ms. Schultz (jschultz@pasco.k12.fl.us) with a picture of the outfit or dress and she can let you know the decision.
The following dress code is applicable to all students and guests who wish to enter the Homecoming. All guests must comply with all school and Code of Conduct requirements. If you have questions concerning your dress, it is your responsibility to seek prior approval for administration. Any questions regarding dress should be resolved before that evening. Any student or guest that fails to meet any of the following conditions will be denied entry to the event:
- Dress Code for Young Men: Dress pants, dress shirt and dress shoes. A tie and jacket is strongly recommended. All pants must be securely worn around the waist. No “polo” style shirts will be allowed. Athletics shoes/sneakers (i.e. Nikes, Adidas, etc.) or work boots will not be permitted. The principal’s/designee’s decision is FINAL.
- Dress Code for Young Women: Must wear a dress, pant suit or gown that is in good taste. The outfit may not be made of see-through material. Strapless dresses are allowed. Two-piece dresses will be allowed; however, please make sure that the front necklines shall not be lower than a line formed between the right and left armpit as cleavage needs to be in good taste. Please make sure that all genitalia are covered throughout the dance. It is highly recommended that if dresses are short that spanks are worn underneath. The principal’s/designee’s decision is FINAL.
- Dress Code for Both Young Men and Young Women: Students dressed inappropriately will be turned away at the door. Students will not be admitted wearing cargo pants, sneakers, jeans/denim, khakis, Dickies (or other casual pants), t-shirts, torn clothing, chains/spikes, sexually implicit or explicit clothes, shorts, hats and head coverings, bandanas, or items referencing tobacco or alcohol products. Adjustments made at the door or during the dance (including pinning, the addition of a jacket, the addition of a body suit, etc.) will not be accepted as solutions for violations of the dress code. The principal’s/designee’s decision is FINAL.
ALL-INCLUSIVE Ticket Sales – All-inclusive ticket sales are available via Rycor. They are $40 each until 2PM on Monday, October 4th. After that, individual tickets can be bought for the activities and the dance.
Dance ONLY Ticket Sales – Dance ONLY ticket sales are available via Rycor. Dance ONLY tickets are $35 each until 3PM on Friday, October 8th. We will sell tickets to JWMHS student ONLY at the door on the night of Homecoming for $40 each.
Picture ID Requirement
Students and guests to the Homecoming Dance must have a picture ID to enter. You can use an ID from middle school, last year’s ID, a drivers license, a passport, or anything with a picture on it. You can also use a printout of your myStudent screen if there is a picture in the system of you (please go to Student Services for a printout). If a non-JWMHS guest does not have a picture ID, we will not be able to admit them to the dance. We also recommend taking a picture of it and having it on your phone instead of bringing it to the dance.
JWMHS Student Expectations Agreement – This form needs to be completed if you are a JWMHS Student. Students must have a student signature, parent signature, and dance number in order for this to be filled out correctly. You will need to submit this form when you pick up your dance ticket/wristband.
