Here are the Highlights from the Weekly School Messenger Call for the Week of September 5th!

We hope that you have great upcoming week and enjoy your Labor Day Holiday!

Our first Early Release Day is this Wednesday, September 8th! Please visit our website for the Early Release Bell Schedule.

We want to remind you that you need to respect each other and just be nice. Calling each other names, posting negative things online, and acting inappropriately towards each other is uncalled for and unnecessary. Again, just be nice. And if you can’t find something nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.

Parents, I am asking that you have a conversation with your child about the dangers of posting inappropriate pictures online, especially when they are sent via cell phone text or chat messages and when they are of another individual. Doing this is a crime. Unfortunately, this is something that we have had to address this year on multiple occasions and we need your help.

We also need your help in reminding students that they need to behave and act appropriately in the community. Local businesses have contacted us that students are vandalizing property and loitering. Again, this is not something that I am sure that as parents you would allow your child to do, especially if it meant that there could be legal trouble coming from it. We need to be good citizens and support each other.

Congratulations to our athletic teams this week! JWMHS Athletics continues to be the GOLD standard in our county! I would also like to thank our Student Section for their spirit this week! Please continue to show your Mustang PRIDE!

Freshmen! Please make sure that you order your FREE MustangU Class of 2025 t-shirt by visiting our Spirit Store: https://accounthub.imagedepotexpress.com/jwm_freshman_u_tees/shop/home! Enter your code:  jwfresh21 to get your shirt and it will be delivered directly to the school.

In RANCH, we will be passing out Dance Numbers to students whose parents/guardians have participated in the Parent/Guardian Dance Expectations Meeting and assigning the online Parent/Guardian Dance Webinar very soon. If you have not emailed me that you need to view this, please do so by Wednesday, September 8th and include your child’s name and student number.

Please make sure that you can pass the Covid-19 screener (Student Covid-19 Screener) each morning that is found on our website. If you cannot, please stay home. If you are positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone who is positive for Covid-19, please stay home and contact your administrator so that we can help you with your school work.

Please follow the speed limit and the signs in the parking lot as to the direction of the traffic flow. The Student Drop off area is in our old bus loop for those of you who have been at JWMHS for a while. For those of you who are new, this is the area in between the high school and the middle school. Please drop off students there and not in front of the school or in the Green/Purple Parking Lots.

Students, please stay on the sidewalk and do not cut through the parking lot. It delays the car loop and is not safe.

For those students who have parking tags approved, you can find your spot number in myStudent. Of note, if a spot has a number or word on it on the ground, it is in use. Also, the grass lot is not an open lot and those spots are also assigned. Do not park at JWMHS if you do not have a spot.

Voting will be open for the 2021-22 and 2022-2023 School Advisory Council  Parent Representatives. Parents can vote for 2 representatives. Voting opens at 8:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm on September 7th. Please visit our website on Tuesday for the link to vote.

If you have an eSchool placeholder, on campus or off campus, please sign up for your classes as soon as possible. Directions can be found on our website.

Please read our JWMHS Electronic Newsletter, Around the RANCH. You can find it here: https://www.smore.com/pdrqa and we will be putting a lot of information in this newsletter that can assist you throughout the year.

The best way to be successful at JWMHS is to listen to the things we say and read the information that we put out. We communicate in a variety of ways and ask that you make sure that you are paying attention and following us on social media.

As a reminder, masks are optional. Whether you wear a mask or you do not, please remember to be nice to each other and respectful of each other’s choices. Just be nice.

We hope you have a great evening! Thank you for reading!

Go Mustangs!
