Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Messenger Call for the Week of August 29th!
We hope that you have great upcoming week! As we begin the week, we want to remind you that you need to respect each other and just be nice. Calling each other names, posting negative things online, and acting inappropriately towards each other is uncalled for and unnecessary. Again, just be nice. And if you can’t find something nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.
Dress your best each day. Underclassmen Picture Day is Wednesday, September 1st. Please make sure that you are in dress code.
Congratulations to our Girls Golf Team who defeated Alonso this week by over 100 strokes! What an impressive win! Way to go! Varsity Football defeated Fivay 43-0! Best wishes to all of our teams in action this week!
Please make sure that you can pass the Covid-19 screener (Student Covid-19 Screener) each morning that is found on our website. If you cannot, please stay home. If you are positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone who is positive for Covid-19, please stay home and contact your administrator so that we can help you with your school work.
Please follow the speed limit and the signs in the parking lot as to the direction of the traffic flow.
The Student Drop off area is in our old bus loop for those of you who have been at JWMHS for a while. For those of you who are new, this is the area in between the high school and the middle school. Please drop off students there and not in front of the school or in the Green/Purple Parking Lots.
Students as you are coming to and from the bus loop to campus, please stay on the sidewalk and do not cut through the parking lot. It delays the car loop and is not safe.
For those students who have parking tags approved, you can find your spot number in myStudent. Of note, if a spot has a number or word on it on the ground, it is in use. Also, the grass lot is not an open lot and those spots are also assigned. Do not park at JWMHS if you do not have a spot.
Would you like to be part of the JWMHS School Advisory Council? We are accepting nominations now online. You can nominate online via our link (https://forms.office.com/r/T0dk9h3ttQ). The SAC meets one time a month and works with our school to discuss academic goals and progress, as well as address school needs. Contact Mrs. Chamberlin if you have questions.
As a reminder, all ticket sales will be done by GoFan! Please make sure that you are purchasing your tickets before you get to the game. We will not have cash to make change, so please purchase tickets via GoFan! Also, please note that ticket prices have gone up. Varsity Football is $6 per person and all other sports is $5 per person. Come out on Wednesday to watch Volleyball take on WRHS, this Thursday to support your JV Football team against WRHS, and on this Friday V Football will play RRHS!
Please also remember that we will be following our security procedures at all on-campus games. You can view them on our website on the Athletics tab (https://jwmhs.pasco.k12.fl.us/wp-content/uploads/jwmhs/2019/08/front.USE_.2.pdf).
If you have an eSchool placeholder, on campus or off campus, please sign up for your classes as soon as possible. Directions can be found on our website.
Breakfast will be served each morning until 8:25AM when the warning bell will sound. All students can receive a free lunch this school year. If you need to put money on your lunch account, you can do so at this time. Please arrive in your classes on time each day, as being on time is important now and in the future.
Any drink containers or food wrappers need to be disposed of in our commons area garbage cans and not classroom garbage cans or recycle bins. Please take pride in your school and keep it clean!
Please read our JWMHS Electronic Newsletter, Around the RANCH. You can find it here: https://www.smore.com/bmz8e and we will be putting a lot of information in this newsletter that can assist you throughout the year.
The best way to be successful at JWMHS is to listen to the things we say and read the information that we put out. We communicate in a variety of ways and ask that you make sure that you are paying attention and following us on social media.
As a reminder, masks are optional. Whether you wear a mask or you do not, please remember to be nice to each other and respectful of each other’s choices. Just be nice.
We hope you have a great evening! Thank you for reading!
