Welcome to the J.W. Mitchell High School Band in Trinity, Florida. The J.W. Mitchell High School Band Program is nationally-recognized as one of the finest and most comprehensive high school band programs in the country. With over 240 members, the J.W. Mitchell High School Band’s Ensembles include the Marching Band, Concert Bands, Jazz Ensembles, Colorguard and Percussion.
For the past 15 years the J.W. Mitchell High School Bands have performed throughout the state of Florida and across the country, competing and consistently earning numerous Superior ratings, the highest available rating at District and State band evaluations. J.W. Mitchell High School Band was the first band in Pasco County, Florida to win the coveted Otto J. Kraushaar Award (Florida’s highest honor) and the Colorguards have earned gold medals at the FFCC Championships for the past several years.
J.W. Mitchell High School Band has performed in competitions and events throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area, Daytona Beach, Ocala, Universal Studios – Orlando, Ft. Myers, Atlanta, the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. and the infamous St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Chicago.
With the strong support of J.W. Mitchell High School, the Pasco County School District, Band Boosters, Sponsors and community, the J.W. Mitchell High School Band is the fastest growing, most comprehensive band in the county.
