In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on campus. Access the Visitor Screener or the Student Screener online.

Our district will launch distance learning for all students on Tuesday, March 31st. This is a mandatory educational opportunity for all students. The learning is designed to be asynchronous meaning there is not an expectation for students to log in at a specific time each day. Rather there will be some online and some offline assignments to be completed each day. Our estimate is that students will be engaged in learning activities for about 5 hours a day. The time frame is flexible to meet the needs of your family and learners and allows students in your home to share technology.

The District recommends laptops (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook) with a camera and a recent version of the Chrome browser on the device. We also recommend 4-8G of RAM. Less memory will work but may be slow.

Other devices, including tablets and iPads with the Chrome browser installed, will work for most applications, however, they may not work for all applications. Students may also use the browsers on many common video game platforms to access online courses, but those devices may not support some of the activities and applications linked within the course materials.

Specific iPad versions that are confirmed compatible include, iPad Air and newer, iPad Mini 2 and newer. Older versions or iPads may not work for all applications.

If you need a device for your child, please go to our website and complete the JWMHS Distance Learning Device Reservation form (link below) by Friday, 3/27, at 11AM. This will allow staff to prepare the devices for distribution. You will receive a follow up email after 12PM on Friday with your specific time and directions for device pick up. Monday morning from 8:30AM to 12:30PM is the only time that we will be distributing devices. Please do not call the school or send an email requesting devices. The mach form on the website is the only way to reserve devices.
