Report an Excused Absence/Early Dismissal

Report an Excused Absence/Early Dismissal

Excused absences - Excused absence notes (including medical) must be received within three (3) school days from the end of the absence in order to be excused.

Early dismissal - In order for a student to have an excused absence when they leave school during the day they either need to be checked out by an adult at Student Services or from the Clinic. There are no check-outs after 2:15pm. If the student drives themselves the school needs to have received permission for them to leave PRIOR to them leaving campus (and no later than 11:00 AM). If they leave without being checked out or the school having received permission prior to the student leaving the absence WILL NOT be excused. Students with permission to leave must pick up an early dismissal pass from Student Services and will not be called from class. Please put the time they are allowed to leave in the "Brief Description" section.

Students may make up any and all assignments, tests or related work assigned on the day(s) of the excused or unexcused absence at full credit. The student is responsible for asking the teacher(s) for make up tests, assignments and other work. Unexcused absences will still be counted towards Loss of Privileges, including suspension or revocation of parking privileges. Please see the Student Code of Conduct for more information.
