Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Messenger for the Week of January 28th!

Congratulations to Mrs. Susan McNulty, who was named the Pasco County Schools District Teacher of the Year! We are so proud of her! She is very deserving of this distinction! Congratulations!

Congratulations are in order for all of our students selected to All-County Band! Way to go!

We also want to congratulate our Girls #MustangSoccer team for winning their 10th District Title in a row! This is an amazing accomplishment! Regional play begins this week!

Best wishes to our #MustangCheerleaders as they compete for a State title!

On Wednesday, January 31st in the Media Center at 6:30PM, we will hold our ParentU for Post Secondary Planning. We encourage you to attend this informative night hosted by Mrs. Chamberlin.

The annual semi-formal Winter Ball will be held at the Gymnasium on Saturday, February 3rd from 6PM to 10PM. Tickets are $20 each & will go on sale on Jan 29th. Proceeds benefit the Class of 2019 & local charities. You can purchase tickets in the Main Office with Ms. Schultz or you can purchase them online. See our website for the links to do so. You must come and pick up your ticket and turn in all of the paperwork in order to do so.

If you want to invite a non-JWMHS guest, please make sure that you follow our procedures for doing so.

We will be selling Smoothie King at the dance as a refreshment. You can purchase these in advance as you buy your tickets. You can purchase them online as well. They are $4 each and benefit the Class of 2021!

If your parents or guardians need to view the Dance Expectations Podcast, please email Ms. Schultz. She is sending out the links to the podcast tonight and this week.

As a reminder, please make sure for our juniors and seniors who want to attend prom that you are attending school and not receiving referrals for skipping, leaving campus without permission, or any Level 3 referrals, including tobacco and vaping violations. We will be looking at those on Loss of Privilege for attendance and off-track grades.

As a further reminder, vaping is not allowed on campus. When you vape on campus, have vape pens or other types of vapes, refills, and juice, you are violating the Code of Conduct and it is a Level 3 offense. You will have the vape and all of the accessories confiscated, receive school consequences, and a tobacco citation.

Course Registration for the 2018-2019 school year has begun. Students watched podcasts regarding which classes they should choose for next year. Teachers have been assisting students on choosing the appropriate classes as well. Students should take course cards to teachers this week to get signatures. Visit our website for more information.

Seniors, the Senior Panoramic is on sale on the Gigante website if you are interested in purchasing it.

May we #CommitToExcellence each and every day and show how #ExcellenceNeverStops at JWMHS!

We hope that you have a fantastic week! Go Mustangs!
