In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on campus. Access the Visitor Screener or the Student Screener online. Employees should use the Employee Self-Screener.

Here are the Highlights from the Weekly School Messenger call for the Week of December 1st!

We are collecting baby items for those less fortunate in the community. Please bring in items to your RANCH class through December. We will need items that include diapers, unscented wipes, baby clothes, puzzles, books, formula that is not expired, and other items that babies and toddlers might need. Please consider donating to this worthy cause for those less fortunate.

This week, December 9th to 13th, is The Most Wonderful Week of the Year. There are spirit days with activities and other events as we celebrate a great first semester and our winter sports, as well as usher in the holiday season. Check out our website for more details on each day! Monday is Ghosts of Christmas Past Day! Dress in your favorite decade and have some holiday spirit! Wristbands for the entire week’s activities are $10 each and can be purchased online or in person with Mrs. Herring. Your wristband will also include entrance to the athletic events on campus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of the Most Wonderful Week of the Year. We want to pack the stands as our teams compete in soccer and basketball. We ask that when you come to the event, you bring an item to donate to our Baby, It’s Cold Outside drive!

On Tuesday, from 6:30PM to 8:30PM is AP Exam Study Night! Come to school and work with other students to get ready for exams. While you are there, catch the Girls #MustangBasketball team take on Bishop McLaughlin!

Seniors, do you want a senior dedication page in the 2020 yearbook? Contracts and photos must be turned in by December 13th. See the Senior Dedication information on the school website for details. Also, the last day to get senior portrait taken on campus is December 13th. Seniors must call Gigante for an appointment at 813-907-1078.

This Friday and Saturday is PRISM at 7PM at the RRHS PAC. The event is free, but if you have not been able to see the members of the band perform, now is your chance! If you would like to make a donation to the JWMHS Music Program, please contact Mr. Joel Quina.

The Yearbook price goes up on January 1st. Buy yours now for $80 in room 517 or on Rycor.

Students and parents, we want to make sure that students have a great experience at JWMHS. This includes feeling safe at school and wanting to come to school without being harassed or bullied. We ask that families talk about just being nice and be accepting of each other. If you or anyone you know is being harassed or bullied, please let an adult know so that we can help. We cannot change a situation that we do not know about. Students and parents can also use the See Something, Say Something link to report bullying, harassment, or anything else. All reports are followed up. Remember, kindness begins with each of us, so just be nice.

We are in the home stretch before the end of the semester, please make sure that you finish #MustangSTRONG! We have District Finals, Quarterly Checks, and Semester Exams. Please make sure that you are turning in your assignments and working with your teachers to improve your learning and your grade. Our Semester Exam Schedule will be posted on our website this week. Please know that we will not be able to give exams early and that students have exams through December 20th.

We hope that you have a great week! Thank you for listening and go Mustangs!
