Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Messenger Call for the Week of August 30th.
Thank you for a great first week of school. We know that there were some hiccups, but we appreciate everyone’s patience. We also thank you for wearing your masks!
As a reminder, if you have an eSchool placeholder, on campus or off campus, please sign up for your classes as soon as possible. Directions can be found on our website.
We are on a learning model pause until August 31st so that we can make sure that our schedule is working. If you are looking for a change, you should let us know, and we will be looking at changes.
As you come to school tomorrow, please follow the speed limit and the signs in the parking lot as to the direction of the traffic flow. Remember, we have a new bus loop and now drop off and pick up is in the old bus loop. Seniors who have painted their spots need to park in their spots. If you have applied and paid for a spot, please go to myStudent to find out your spot and park there. We will let you know where to pick up your parking tag this week.
Wednesday, September 2nd is Underclass Picture Day. New protocols have been established to promote social distancing. Visit our website for a link to preorder your photos online. Students must be in dress code in order to be photographed. All students will be photographed via a staggered schedule based on English classes on campus. Students without an English class on campus may enter the gym for their photo during their lunch period or a place holder period. MySchool Online and JWMHS eSchool students may come to campus for Underclass Picture Day between 3:30 and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Remember to wear a mask when on campus. Masks may be removed for photos, but mask removal is not required. All photos will be included in the yearbook, and ID badges will be made for all students who remove their masks for their photo. ID badges will not be made for students wearing a mask in their photo. If you would like to make an appointment for a photo between 3:30 and 5 p.m., please email our yearbook adviser, Mrs. McNulty at email@example.com. Appointments are not required, but may help with social distancing. Make up day is scheduled for October 7th. Seniors should visit Gigante’s website to make an appointment for their senior portraits as soon as possible.
If you received a letter in March regarding National Honor Society membership, you need to turn in your Request for Consideration packet by Wednesday, September 2nd by 3:30PM. Contact Mrs. Crabtree in the Media Center for more information or questions.
If you want to pay school fees, we would ask that you pay them online. These fees help us to provide materials for teachers and students. We appreciate you for doing this.
Breakfast will be served each morning until 8:25AM when the warning bell will sound. If you need to put money on your lunch account, you can do so at this time. Breakfast is grab and go. Please arrive in your classes on time each day, as being on time is important now and in the future.
Please remember that during lunches you will need to sit in seats where there is at least one seat in between. For benches it is one person per bench. We also need for you to make sure that you are staying seated. You cannot eat in your car or go off campus for lunches. Please remember that you should not have food delivered to you or brought from outside restaurants.
Any drink containers or food wrappers need to be disposed of in our commons area garbage cans and not classroom garbage cans. Please take pride in your school and keep it clean!
