In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on campus. Access the Visitor Screener or the Student Screener online. Employees should use the Employee Self-Screener.

Welcome to the Class of 2024!

I wanted to take a few minutes and welcome you to Mustang Nation!

Each Sunday, I will make calls that will provide a lot of information and I would encourage you to listen to them as a family. I typically will also email the content if your email address is on file, post the content to our website, and text you a reminder that I have sent a call (if your phone allows for that).

The first thing I wanted to let everyone know is that we will be postponing MustangU Orientation until August 13th. We are still working out details in terms of whether or not it will be in person or virtual, so please stay tuned and save the 13th for MustangU Orientation Activities. In preparation, I would encourage you to make sure that students have all of your login information for myStudent and myLearning and that all parents have created an account to track grades and keep up to date on announcements. I would also encourage you to follow us on Twitter at @JWMHS, Instagram at @JWMHS, on facebook at J.W. Mitchell High School, and to bookmark our website: as we put all of our information there!

Your assistant principal, Mrs. Newberry, and your school counselor, Mrs. Gaidosh, and I are very excited to work with you this year. We hope that you are ready to join Mustang Nation’s tradition of excellence!

We look forward to meeting you soon! Stay tuned for more information on our orientation on August 13th!

Have a great evening! Welcome to Mustang Nation!

Go Mustangs!

Ms. Schultz
