The Marching Mustangs include students who are members of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Guard. The 125 member band performs at all home football games and some away games. They also perform at select competitions each year. The Marching Mustangs are a key part of J.W. Mitchell’s school spirit and pride. The band has received straight Superior ratings at all FBA marching festivals since 2002. They participate in competitions and parades throughout the year. The Marching Mustangs are known throughout the community for their many accolades.

Items REQUIRED for EVERY Rehearsal/Camp:

*WATER JUG

*Gym Shorts (no jeans, jean shorts, or cargo shorts)

*Grey T-shirt (no bathing suits or revealing clothing) A practice shirt will be provided to you.

*Sneakers (No Flip Flops or any type of sandals)

*Snacks

Supplies:

Flip Folder

Lyre to hold folder (make sure it is for your instrument)

Valve Oil (brass)

Binder and pencil

Towel
