When the audience enters the theatre, they are interviewed by the cast to determine whether they are worthy to watch the show. Audience members will be enlisted to take part in some of the plays to be performed. Over the stage, a clothesline is strung displaying sheets of paper numbered one through thirty. Each number has the title of the play on the back corresponding with the numbered list of plays (referred to as “the menu”) that is given to each audience member. The order of the plays performed is “ordered by number” by the audience therefore the shape of the play changes with each audience who attends. There will be a visible onstage clock to makes sure the thirty plays are done within 60 minutes.

The work of The Neo-Futurists is dedicated to social, political, and personal enlightenment in the form of audience-interactive conceptual theatre. Though many pieces are comic in nature, there are a few that supply a profound dramatic response.

Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind opened at Stage Left Theatre in Chicago on December 2nd, 1988. It was conceived and directed by Greg Allen.
