Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Messenger for the Week of February 26th.
This week we reviewed safety procedures with the entire faculty, staff, and student body. All classroom doors will be locked throughout the day. All exterior doors will be locked throughout the day. Please do not dilly-dally during passing periods and get to class on time. We will not allow students out of class the first ten minutes of class or the last ten minutes of class. Finally, we want to remind parents and guests to come into the school to receive a pass to walk about campus and to check in or check out students. All faculty and staff will have their ID badges on and the pass we give to any guests will identify you as such. This, of course, is not all that we will be doing to secure campus, but these are the procedures that will have significance to students and families.
Please do not deliver food to students or have a service deliver it to students. It will be confiscated and given to the student at the end of the day. We had an incident this week wherein a family put a delivery in a bag in order to hide it and this is unacceptable. Please follow our rules.
Yearbooks will be on sale during all lunches outside the gym from February 26 through March 2. This is the FINAL PRESALE of the school year and the LAST CHANCE to guarantee your copy of the award winning yearbook. The price is $80 cash or check to JWMHS. You may also purchase with a credit card online. We sold out of yearbooks last year and had to turn people away. Buy yours before time is up!
State testing begins this week and will continue through May. This week, students will be given their test tickets which tell them the exact date, time, and location of all of their tests this Spring. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Bell.
