Here are the highlights for the weekly School Connects for the Week of October 9th.
This week is Homecoming, finally, and we are very excited about all of the school spirit that will be shown. Please make sure that you are in dress code each day as you pick out your spirit outfits. We also remind you to be classy and be in good taste. Please see our website, Facebook page, and Twitter for information on each of the spirit days and the bell schedule.
We will still be selling wristbands on Monday if you are interested in purchasing one.
Our Homecoming Dance is this Saturday at 6:30PM in the gymnasium. Students must have a signed permission slip and their Parent Dance Meeting Code to purchase a ticket. If a parent needs to watch the webinar, it must be completed by Thursday to get your unique code. If you are bringing a non-JWMHS guest, you must have your paperwork turned in by Friday. As a reminder, tickets will not be sold at the door and students must be in dance dress code.
This week, our students participated in a drug and alcohol presentation that is a companion to the Parent Dance Meetings. We hope that this will encourage our students to #RiseAbove and be a part of our #MustangsRiseAbove campaign to stop drinking and using drugs. We hope that students will make good choices, especially during Homecoming weekend and at the dance. Please make good choices and #RiseAbove.
All 10th grade students will participate in the PSAT on October 25th for FREE. Any 9th or 11th graders who wants to take the test can participate for a $20 fee and should email Mrs. Chamberlin.
Seniors, please make sure that you go to our website and complete the diploma and cap and gown link. This will ensure that everything will be ordered on time for graduation in May.
This Thursday, October 12th all students and their families are invited to attend the College and Career Night at PHSC in the West Campus Gym at 6PM. More than 60 colleges and universities and the military will be there.
All students must be enrolled in at least six classes. If you have learning lab or an Sschool placeholder on your schedule, you must have signed up for a class online through Pasco eSchool and be working on it. You are expected to have this finished by mid-December like your other first semester class.
May we #CommitToExcellence each and every day and show how #ExcellenceNeverStops at JWMHS!
We hope that you have a fantastic week! Go Mustangs!
