Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Connects for the Week of May 7th!

I want to remind everyone that school is still in session until May 26th for underclassmen. As a result, the expectation is that you are in classes and finishing #MustangSTRONG! Please do not wander the campus or be out of area. Also, please know that leaving campus without permission has consequences.

Best of luck to all of our #Mustangs taking Advanced Placement Exams this week. We know you will do your best! Remember, #FivesHappenHere!

There are two more weeks of EOC testing. If you are scheduled to test please make sure that you take it when it is scheduled. There are limited spaces to makeup tests and they are important for your grades and graduation. Please see Mrs. Bell in the media center for when you can makeup your test.

The Band Spring Concert is this Friday at 7PM at RRHS. Our band program is amazing and we hope you can come hear them!

Seniors, your last day on campus is Friday, May 12th! We would also encourage you to start looking around your house for books or other items that belong to JWMHS. This will expedite Senior Checkout on May 18th and 19th. We would also encourage you to look at your lunch account and make sure that you are paying off any debt and using whatever funds you have remaining on your account. If you would like to transfer funds to a sibling’s account, forms are available at the lunch registers. As of this past Monday, May 1st, you will not be able to charge meals.

Remember, Senior Breakfast is May 17th at 9AM at Spartan Manor and then mandatory Graduation Practice and Senior Checkout is May 18th and 19th beginning at 8:30AM in the gymnasium. Please make sure that you follow the dress code for both events.

My school bucks replenish key will be disabled on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 by Food and Nutrition. This is to ensure that all refunds by the district will process properly. All underclassmen will not be able to put money on their accounts with the replenish key for the remainder of the year.

We would encourage all underclassmen to clean out their lockers in the next two weeks of any trash or personal items. Make sure that your textbooks, media center books and other items, as well as any athletic uniforms and anything you have borrowed from JWMHS has been returned so that you are not on the debt list or charged for them. If you owe any money to JWMHS for fundraisers or any other fees, please make sure that you pay for those as they will follow you to the next school year.

Do you need to attend summer school, known as ESY or extended school year? Please sign up on Tuesday in the cafeteria.

Tryout Meeting for 2017-18 Mitchell Cheerleading will be on May 11th at 6:00 p.m. in the gym for girls and their parents interested in trying out for Mitchell Cheer for the 2017-18 school year.  Tryouts will be held June 6th and 7th from 6-9 p.m. in the gym. Tryout packets will be available at this meeting on May 11th and then on May 12th at the front desk. Cheers!

The admission advisor for PHSC will be on campus for the final time this school year. Seniors can meet with her during lunch in the CRC to apply for admission! See Mrs. Chamberlin for more information.

If you would like to donate blood, signups are this Tuesday during lunches.

Best wishes to our softball team this week in the State Playoffs! Our Varsity Softball team plays Tuesday against Braden River HS at home! Good luck!
