Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Connects for the Week of April 22nd!

As you may know, April is Autism Awareness Month, and here at Mitchell, we want to celebrate and promote autism awareness. To support this cause, we are asking that students and faculty wear blue every Wednesday for the month of April. We had a wonderful showing on the first Wednesday this past week, and hope to see it grow in the coming weeksas we #LightItUpBlue.

Congratulations to our #MustangDance team on their big win at competition recently! They received a Platinum award and scored 1st Place in the Senior Small Group Performance category! Great job!

Best wishes to our students who are presenting the AP Capstone Research & Seminar Projects this week.

Testing is still going on for our students and we will finish ELA and begin Algebra and Geometry. Please check your testing ticket for when you test. On the day that you test, you can receive a free school breakfast. Go to the Main Office for your voucher. Email Mrs. Bell with any questions.

District Finals for seniors will be held the week of May 1st. This counts for 10% of the semester 2 grade and seniors will receive their test ticket this week.

As a reminder, absence notes are due within 72 hours from date of return to the Student Services secretary in the Main Office. Notes will not be accepted after the 72 hour period and the absence will be unexcused. For the last two years we have had a link on our webpage to electronically submit a note and we would encourage you to use this.

Again, as a reminder, please do not deliver food to students or have a service deliver it to students. It will be confiscated and given to the student at the end of the day. Please follow our rules.

Also, we are not able to call students out of class after 2:40PM for early release. If a student must sign out early, please follow the procedure of submitting a note in the morning and we will have the pass ready for the student to leave in a timely manner.

As a reminder to our seniors, this Friday, April 27this the due date for all online DBAs and coursework and May 4this the due date for all online Pasco eSchool and FLVS final exams if you plan on participating in graduation on May 27th.

On Friday we will be on a RANCH Bell Schedule. During this time, underclassmen will be reviewing important information and receiving progress reports. Seniors will be voting on important information for graduation and senior breakfast. Don’t miss it!

We also want to remind seniors to start looking around their houses, cars, and lockers for any materials that may belong to JWMHS and return them to school, especially uniforms, media center books, and any debt that may be owed, including Senior Fees, which are $80.

Seniors, if you re going to Grad Bash your permission forms are due on Monday, April 23rd. We will also be meeting in the Orange Building at 3PM on Saturday. Be on time and in dress code. Remember, you cannot bring homemade food or opened beverages. Make sure you have reviewed all of the rules thoroughly.

May we #CommitToExcellence each and every day and show how #ExcellenceNeverStops at JWMHS!

We hope that you have a fantastic week! Go Mustangs!
