Here are the highlights for the Weekly School Connects for the Week of February 13th.

Congratulations to our Girls #MustangSoccer team for a fantastic season! Although we did not advanced to the State Finals, this has been our most successful season yet! Great work, Ladies!

Our Boys #MustangBasketball team won the District Championship this weekend and will begin regional play this week! Good luck, Gentlemen!

Our website has been updated to reflect all current test information.  Please visit the site to find information about State tests and district tests.  We have links for practice tests, general information, parent letters, and scheduling. Testing begins February 27th and student will be given their testing notices the week of February 13th.  These notices will include exact dates, times, and rooms for each student and each test. Any questions regarding testing should be directed to Heather Bell at hbell@pasco.k12.fl.us

Congratulations to our Jazz Ensemble at MPA Evaluation this week with both ensembles earning superiors! We are very proud of you!

We want to remind everyone of the procedures for leaving campus. You MUST have a pass from Student Services in order to leave. Parents and Guardians, we ask that you arrange for your child to leave school prior to the need to do so. We will NOT accept notes for a student who leaves campus and then has his or her parent or guardian call or email in after. The pass that we will give to your child is the one that will allow them to leave and that we will look for in the parking lot. Otherwise, there will be disciplinary consequences.

As we have now completed the rezoning process, we want to remind everyone that the School Choice window will open on February 1st and run through March 1st. Everyone who is currently on School Choice must reapply for School Choice. If you are a current Junior who lives in a neighborhood being rezoned to RRHS, you are grandfathered in and will be able to stay at JWMHS for your senior year. Those Juniors will NOT need to apply for School Choice.

We will have a Parent U for Course Selection for next year for all 9th, 10th, and 11th graders on how to select courses Monday! As we have a new system, please make sure that you attend this event. We will be reviewing how students and parents can select classes. Mark your calendar now as this event will be held on Monday, February 13th at 6:30PM in the gymnasium. Bahama Bucks will be at the event selling the greatest SNO on earth!

During the event tomorrow, if you are interested in the AP Capstone Program, there will be a breakout meeting at 7:20 in room 617, the Career Resource Center! Please go there to learn all about the AP Capstone program.

Hey, Seniors! Grad Bash tickets are on sale for $100 each in Mrs. Besack’s room, 721! Make sure that you get your ticket while they are still available! Remember, Universal Studios Grad Bash is on April 7th and it always sells out quickly!

Prom is coming up quickly, too, and will be held on March 31st at the Kapock Tree! Grecian Nights is the theme and tickets will go on sale in the next two weeks! Information about guests requests will be up this week for non-JWMHS guests. Please review the Dance Dress Code.

Mark your calendars now for February 25th for the National College Fair at the Florida State Fair Grounds from 12 to 3. Look on our website for how to register for this informative event.

Senior Class meeting tomorrow during period 3! Please make sure that you are there!

We hope you have a fantastic week, show great #MustangSpirit and make #ExcellenceHappenHere!

Go Mustangs!
