Here are the highlights from the Weekly School Connects for the Week of February 19th.

Congratulations to our #MustangHockey team on their #Back2Back Lightning Cup #Championships, defeating Wiregrass Ranch HS in the finals!

Our Boys #MustangBasketball team is still in the State Playoffs and we have sent 4 #MustangWrestlers to the Regions! Good luck, Gentlemen!

Our website has been updated to reflect all current test information.  Please visit the site to find information about State tests and district tests.  We have links for practice tests, general information, parent letters, and scheduling. Testing begins February 27th and student will be given their testing notices the week of February 13th.  These notices will include exact dates, times, and rooms for each student and each test. Any questions regarding testing should be directed to Heather Bell at

If you are leaving campus you MUST have a pass from Student Services in order to leave. Parents and Guardians, we ask for your support as we want to keep our children safe. The pass that we will give to your child is the one that will allow them to leave and that we will look for in the parking lot. Otherwise, there will be disciplinary consequences.

As we have now completed the rezoning process, we want to remind everyone that the School Choice window will open on February 1st and run through March 1st. Everyone who is currently on School Choice must reapply for School Choice. If you are a current Junior who lives in a neighborhood being rezoned to RRHS, you are grandfathered in and will be able to stay at JWMHS for your senior year. Those Juniors will NOT need to apply for School Choice.

Course Selection cards are due February 23rd for all current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to your English Teacher. If you have off-campus English or missed the chance to input your classes, come to Room 210 in the Media Center on Wednesday, February 22nd or follow the directions to post your classes that can be found on the website! Make sure that you turn in your course card to your guidance counselor if you don’t have an English class!

Hey, Seniors! Grad Bash tickets are on sale for $100 each in Mrs. Besack’s room, 721! Make sure that you get your ticket while they are still available! Remember, Universal Studios Grad Bash is on April 7th and it always sells out quickly!

Prom is coming up quickly, too, and will be held on March 31st at the Kapock Tree! Grecian Nights is the theme and tickets will go on sale in the next two weeks! Information about guest requests will be up this week for non-JWMHS guests. Please review the Dance Dress Code and make good choices as you purchase your dresses.

Mark your calendars now for February 25th for the National College Fair at the Florida State Fair Grounds from 12 to 3. Look on our website for how to register for this informative event.

We hope you have a fantastic week, show great #MustangSpirit and make #ExcellenceHappenHere!

Go Mustangs!
